just letting you know

To all those who read this post or followed my tube updates on twitter and who might be wondering where things are at. Because I am sure you have nothing on your minds except my health.

The tube thing was awful - worse than awful - but it is over. And it has ruled out surgery. This is a major release from the wondering about what the heck will happen next and a hello three night craft weekend. Very happy about that. Very happy indeed.

Not so happy that the not knowing about my asthma, what causes it, if I can do anything about it blah blah. Perhaps we'll never know. Anyway, until the next cold I'm cruising.

And planning a mountain of projects for sew journ. Summer clothes. Which should be kind of funny in the middle of winter.

Take care of yourself. My poor Mum is a chronic asthmatic. It takes its toll over the years so do all the preventative stuff you can.

Yes, rest up as much as you can. Thinking of you.

Thank you for your wonderful blog and sorry to hear that you have been feeling poorly.

I have some wonderful news, although you probably already know of it, a new wool shop has opened up in the city. It is called Morris & Sons and is up the esculator at Level 1, 234 Collins Street. Evidently they have been in Sydney for sometime.

I work fulltime in the city and find that trips on Saturdays to the wool shops scattered through the suburbs has been the only way to get what I have needed, apart from the wonderful Cleggs who haven't the room to have a great selection.

I was kniting on the way home on the tram last night and one of the other passengers told me about this wonderful shop (opened Wednesday last week) so I made a beeline for there at lunchtime today and thought I was in heaven. What a range and all on sale at the moment.

You must check it out if you haven't already been there.

Oh dear! I have to say that as far as facial jewellery goes I am not certain this line is going to catch on ;-)

Hope you are feeling better soon AND (in mother mode) get some rest!

Sorry about the mystery, happy to hear you don't need the surgery though. I hope you're feeling just well enough to read/knit/tool around on the web, but not so well you have to make your own cups of tea.

Congratulations and commiserations for the good and bad news!

I haven't been following for too long, and obviously don't know much about the health issues, but have you looked at www.fedup.com.au? They are about food additives and intolerances, but also other foods can apparently contribute to asthma in some people. It isn't much known about. Worth checking out? You can see more specifically here: http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/features/asthma/asthma1.htm. I am not affiliated with the site but have been reading up on it for some of my own health issues of late, and thought I might pass that on. I hope it helps. I feel a bit awkward, but I would feel worse if I didn't pass it on and it turned out it could have helped.

Best of luck with it all.

Look after yourself. You know all my love is with you even though I am not always the best at expressing it verbally. James

Oh, that looks like it was awful! It would make me feel so vulnerable... glad that it's over, though, and hoorah for crafting!

I'm sorry to hear of your asthma... many in my family struggle with this, and I hope you are able to find something that soothes your attacks. :( Stay well and I wish you to be cold-free for the season!
