So refreshing.
A bit of snip snip, the buzz of the sewing machine, the whoosh of the steam iron.
Another pair like these, added to the crafted gifts pile for the birthday heavy holiday season. This time using Lara's fabric and some denim offcuts.

Fun, practical and eminently do-able.
Man it feels good to craft again after running hard to simply stay still.
Oh and PS - the crochet hexagons? 471. Years I say.

I love these!
brilliant.. I love them...
oohh the word verification is "retro" i think thats cool.. but I'm a total geek anyway so I'm not much of a judge.
I thought a lot about this, and remembered that the original number was 529, 23 x 23, because it was for someone who's favourite number that was.
But, y'know, I lost some. It's been kicking around the studio for about 5 years.
awesome oven mits!
I found your site looking for crochet stitches - I forgot how to do the Tunisian stitch with a dbl in the middle.....I used it for a pillow for my Mom who ordered another - anyway it brought me to your site from October '07 about the daisy chain necklace which is very fun! I once crocheted a necklace with a large funky lily type flower and then felted it - very fun. Anyway - I had fun here and hope to visit more.
I'm making these for me! Yay... thanks for the tip.
These are really cute and inspired me to make some also as Christmas gifts - it's a homemade pledge thing.
Can we have a tutorial for the lovely oven mits? - perhaps when life is less busy.
