I think Aussies care because Bush is finally O.U.T out! Didn't follow the election trail too closely, but that alone has sealed it for me. I was elated when Howard got out too!
yeah I teared up too, sneakily in the tea room this afternoon while watching Obama give his speech, thought I was the only one... but then a good election result always makes me a bit teary!

I cried during McCain's speech and then again during Obama's. Together those two could do anything.
